Brooke Marten is an accomplished equestrian with over 20 years of experience.  Her love and passion for horses began at a young age, and as a child joined the United States Pony Club.  Motivated to learn, grow and achieve the certification levels, she moved up quickly.  Eventually achieving her H/A in the USPC program.  Her love for the Pony Club way has continued on through her life as she now runs a Club from Emerald Oaks Farm.  As a young adult she had the privilege of training under some of the best Eventing Names on the West Coast, including Hawley Bennett Awad, 2 time Canadian Olympian.  Brian & Lisa Sabo, Advanced 3 Day Eventers & Brian was the US Olympic Eventing Coach in 2000.  Erin Mashburn, a Grand Prix student of Steffen Peters (3 time US Olympic Dressage  Medalist) helped increase & refine her Dressage skills. When Natural Horsemanship became popular in the early 2000s, Brooke was intrigued and fascinated by how connected, calm and beautiful the relationship between horse and trainer.  She decided to become a John Lyons Certified Trainer and implement these techniques into her training program.  Brooke is passionate about combining her love for Eventing, Dressage & Jumping  with her love of Natural Horsemanship, and seeing the benefits for both horse and rider.

After getting married and starting to have babies she decided to step away from full time riding and training to raise her kids.  In 2018 she began to ease her way back into the Riding and Training industry once again, as well as beginning some Sport Horse Breeding at her Farm. While her availability is very limited, she genuinely loves to help each student grow to their potential and reach their individual goals.  She currently offers Riding Lessons only though her Emerald Oaks Riding Club Program as well as Horses Management Classes for all ages.
